Feeling Cheeky? Playfully Delicious at Loula’s.

With summer right around the corner, everyone is busy recharging their personalities. Collectively, we know that warm days are near, and it’s such a tease. I think this phenomenon of: “almost there but not fully” makes us act and feel cheeky. I could only conceptualize this feeling when I visited Loula’s the other day. Situated on the drive, Loula’s is exactly where you want to be when you feel devilishly playful and like your cheeky summer self once again.

🥝 Food

I started my evening with the Blue Aegean Negroni and the Mastic Watermelon Margarita. Both drinks were vibrant in colour, and the impressive quality of the cocktail stood out. After a couple of shared giggles, my friend and I decided it was time to eat. We shared the Roca Watermelon Salad, the Spanakopitas, and the Lamb Souvlaki Platter. We finished our night with the Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta and a Petro the Pelican as an aperitif. I was elated for the next from the first sip to the last bite. Satisfying and uncomplicated, I felt sexy and ready for any exchange of witty and cheeky banter in between each course.

🥝 Mood

The first thing you’ll notice about Loula’s when you walk in is the Mediterranean-inspired decor: soft white tones, blue hues, and Santorini-inspired textures. However, if you look closer and take a moment to feel its vibrancy, you’ll notice this subtlety of eclecticism. This combination of peace and frenzy immediately transports me to the TV series White Lotus. For those of you who have not watched the series, I am describing an eccentric beach house atmosphere. Calm yet chaotic, classy yet sassy, mysterious yet inviting.

All to say, if you are feeling cheeky, then I’d highly recommend Loula’s to you. Their servers are experts on balancing play with seriousness, and the vibe inside is the same. The combination of the music, lighting, and decor encourages you to be your most daringly charming self while each bite transports you right onto the coast of some island in the Ionian Sea. Loula’s is flavour-filled with cheekiness right at its core.
